Game On Quest

Privacy policy

What we collect

Teachers: name, e-mail, school (optional), password (stored encrypted) and the games and reports they create.

Students: only the nickname and avatar chosen for the game, and the answers given. We never ask students for a full name, e-mail, phone number or any document.

Classes and study links

If a teacher adds classes for the Picker Wheel and teams, we keep only the names or nicknames the teacher types, in the teacher's account. These names only show on the teacher's screen (for example, the wheel projected in class), never on public links, and they are deleted when the teacher deletes the class or the account.

Study links (Mini Lessons and Flashcards) show only the lesson content. Whoever opens a link does not sign up and leaves no personal data. The teacher can turn a link off at any time.

Microphone

In speaking games, students use the device's microphone (or the teacher's computer, in Projector Mode) only after allowing it in the browser. The browser itself turns speech into text (in Chrome, with Google's speech recognition service), and Game On Quest receives only that text, to check the pronunciation on the spot. We do not record the voice and we do not keep the text.

What we use it for

To make the service work: logging in, playing, calculating scores and showing reports to the teacher. We use the teacher's e-mail for account messages, such as confirmation, password changes and receipts. We also send usage tips and plan offers, and the teacher can stop them at any time with one click on the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or on the account page. When a teacher invites another teacher with a referral link, we only keep who invited whom, to give the free days; discount coupons are tied to the account that used them.

How long we keep it

Live game data is deleted a few hours after the game ends; the teacher keeps only the report, which keeps student nicknames for up to 12 months. Account data is kept while the account exists.

Free plan accounts with no login for 6 months get 3 warnings by e-mail over one month. If nobody logs in by the date given, the account is deleted completely: e-mail, password, games, Mini Lessons, Flashcards, Picker Wheels, classes, pictures and reports. To come back, just sign up again. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share data for advertising. Payments are processed by Mercado Pago, which receives only what it needs to charge (the teacher's name, e-mail and the amount). Card details are typed on Mercado Pago itself and never pass through our site.

Visit statistics

To know how many people visit the site and where they come from (for example, Instagram or Google), each page records the address visited, the site the visitor came from and whether the device is a phone or a computer. We do not use cookies for this and we do not keep the IP address: each visitor becomes an anonymous code that changes every day. The browser keeps only the channel the person came from, so we know which channel brought each sign-up. This data is not shared with anyone and is deleted after one year.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies: to keep teachers logged in and to remember the chosen language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

The site only works over a secure connection (HTTPS, Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). Passwords are stored encrypted, repeated login attempts are blocked and uploaded files are checked and cleaned before they are stored. Profile pictures are served by the site itself: no e-mail is sent to outside services.

Your rights

Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to dev@gameonquest.com, which is also the contact of the data controller (Game On Quest). We reply within 15 days.
